Two reasonable choices, very different economics
Weave is a popular patient-communications platform across dental and chiropractic. It does a lot of useful things well, and a lot of chiropractic clinics use it happily. The GHL Chiropractor Snapshot occupies similar territory with materially different tradeoffs.
Where Weave wins
- Easy to set up. Weave’s onboarding is genuinely smooth. A non-technical clinic can be running texting + reminders within a few days.
- Polished UX. The mobile app for staff + clinical workflow is mature.
- Phone-system integration. Weave’s VoIP phone integration is a real strength — caller-ID pop-ups with patient history, mid-call note capture, etc.
- Vendor support. Active customer success team, regular product updates, training resources.
Where the snapshot wins
- Ownership. You buy the snapshot once and own it. Weave is $200–$500/mo per location, indefinitely. Over 5 years that’s $12k–$30k per location vs. a one-time $997.
- Deeper customization. Weave’s workflows are largely templated. The snapshot — built on GoHighLevel — gives you full workflow-builder access. Custom recall cadences, multi-step plan-acceptance flows, attorney-lien tracking for PI: all configurable.
- AI receptionist. Weave does not include an inbound AI voice receptionist. The snapshot does — with chiropractic-specific qualification logic.
- Multi-channel marketing. Email lifecycle sequences, Facebook lead-form integration, Google Ads attribution — Weave is weaker here.
- No vendor lock-in. Your patient list and workflows live in your own GHL account. Weave consolidates your patient communications into Weave’s infrastructure.
What’s the same
- HIPAA-aware patient texting
- Appointment reminders
- Online review prompts
- Visit confirmations
- Two-way SMS for the front desk
If you only need these basic patient-comms primitives, either tool will work. The decision becomes about price and ownership.
Where the snapshot is harder
- Setup curve. GoHighLevel has more surface area than Weave’s narrower product. Without our installation team, that surface area is intimidating.
- No dedicated phone hardware. Weave bundles VoIP phones; the snapshot does not. (Most clinics keep their existing phone system + use GHL for SMS / AI receptionist / patient comms, which works fine.)
- Self-driven learning. You’ll need to learn (or have us configure) the GHL workflow builder if you want to deeply customize.
The honest framing
If you’re a single-doctor wellness clinic that wants patient-texting + reminders and you don’t want to think about it, Weave is probably easier.
If you’re a multi-doctor practice or a clinic with sub-niche complexity (sports + PI, prenatal + pediatric, decompression + general), the snapshot’s deeper customization + one-time pricing wins on every multi-year horizon.
The math on a 5-year comparison
- Weave at $300/mo × 60 months = $18,000
- Chiropractor Snapshot $997 + GHL subscription you’d have anyway ≈ $997
You’ll spend less on the snapshot in year 1 than you’d spend on Weave in month 5.
What we’d recommend
Try the snapshot if:
- You already have or want a GoHighLevel account
- You want sub-niche workflows (PI, prenatal, sports) that don’t fit a generic template
- You want to own the system rather than rent it
- You want the AI receptionist included
Stay with Weave if:
- You hate setup and want a turnkey out-of-the-box experience
- You want VoIP phone hardware bundled
- You’d rather pay monthly than think about ownership
